Fees, Payment and Cancellation Policy

Fees

Psychological services are a privately paid expense. Currently, the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (O.H.I.P.) does not pay for the services of a psychologist or psychological associate. Beverly’s hourly fee and process of billing for assessment are as follows.

Current fee: $250/hr

Billable hours for an assessment typically include:

Currently, for an assessment of a learning profile, which includes a cognitive evaluation, assessment of processing abilities, attention/executive skills and social emotional concerns, the fee is capped at $3500.   For an additional consideration of an Autism Spectrum Disorder, the fee is capped at $4750.

Please contact Beverly directly for other referral needs and she would be happy to discuss her fees in more detail.

Psychological services are a tax-deductible health expense that can be claimed as a medical expense on your personal income tax. You and your children may be covered by an extended health care plan through an employer. It is recommended that you look in the booklet describing your benefits or talk to your insurance company to find out about your coverage.

Payment

Payment is usually invoiced twice within the assessment period: the first payment is due after the testing sessions and some initial review of documentation (6-10 hours) and the remainder of the fee is due after the provision of the completed report (6-10 hours). Accepted forms of payment are etransfer or cheque.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of an appointment must be made 48 hours prior to that appointment. Since alternative bookings are unlikely at such short notice,  Beverly’s policy is to charge for one full hour of service for a missed appointment or cancellation made with less than 48 hours notice. If a problem with unusual circumstances has arisen regarding your reason for cancelling, please discuss this with Beverly.
